Privacy

Short version: we collect as little as possible, and nothing we collect is sold or shared for advertising.

Browsing

• No accounts, no tracking cookies, no ad networks.
• Your theme, language and serious-mode choices are stored only in your browser (localStorage).
• Analytics, if enabled, are cookie-free and aggregate (page views, not people).

Corrections

• Name and email are optional. We use them only to reply to you and, if you tick the box, to credit you publicly.
• The text you send is seen by editors, never published. The public log shows the item, the type of correction, our decision and our reason.
• To stop abuse we keep a one-way hash of your network address and browser for daily rate limits. It cannot be turned back into your IP address.
• Email addresses are deleted 12 months after a ticket closes, or sooner if you ask.

Newsletter

We store your email and the date you consented. Unsubscribe from any email, or write to us to delete it.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the corrections form with the type “Something else” and mention “privacy request”, or contact the grievance officer listed on this page before launch.
