No one-lakh-jobs decision was taken at the first cabinet. In September 2026 the Parliamentary Affairs Minister told the Assembly that 32,223 government jobs had been given by December 2025 (about 32% of one lakh) and set a target of 50,000 by December 2026. The opposition disputes the count of regular jobs.
