The verdict
By December 2025 the government said it had paid Rs 2,155 crore of arrears, fully for pensioners aged 75+. In August 2026 the main employees' federation put pending DA arrears at about Rs 5,000 crore and pay and pension revision arrears at about Rs 7,000 crore. No fixed timetable was announced.
